Residencies
An exploration of printmaking since 1996
Since its founding, Grafikens Hus has invited artists to various Artist-in-Residence programmes, offering them the opportunity to explore their artistic practice in relation to printmaking.
Sissela Nordling Blanco is the residency artist for autumn 2026 at Grafikens Hus. She will work in the printmaking studio at KKV and exhibit her work at “Konstfönstret” in Farsta.
In Mariefred, artists had access to our own printmaking studio, whereas today we collaborate with various workshops such as KKV. In Farsta, we have our temporary gallery “Konstfönstret”, where the work is shown to the public.
In 2021, we also launched a digital residency, The Boundless Platform – Unfolding Print, to facilitate knowledge exchange and new insights into how graphic art is changing and developing in different parts of the world. Their artistic practice has often been presented through a week-long takeover on Instagram.
The residency programmes are a central part of Grafikens Hus’s activities.
