Are you our new producer and coordinator?

Grafikens Hus is looking for a talented producer and coordinator who possesses knowledge of contemporary art; has extensive experience planning and carrying out art-focused projects, programmes and workshops; and can even produce exhibits. Are you good at collaborating with others, and creating and maintaining relationships? Are you spurred on by the idea of helping more people to experience art in their everyday lives? Then come and work at one of Sweden’s most unique art museums, where the focus is on contemporary printmaking!

About the role
Grafikens Hus is a mobile art museum with its base in Södertälje. We work in an interdisciplinary fashion, in conjunction with diverse individuals and the public, in order to create open and welcoming spaces where graphic arts can be experienced. We invite artists in to explore the field of printmaking, to break down barriers and to show the possibilities of the artform. As an institution that focuses on outreach, Grafikens Hus can influence society so more people are able to engage with art in their everyday lives.

Now we are looking for a producer and coordinator who is able to work practically and independently and who is solution-oriented when handling new work tasks and situations. You should be engaged and driven and able to take responsibility for moving work tasks forward, regardless of whether you are working on your own or with others.

You should be very good at collaborating with colleagues and with external partners, and you ought to be a clear communicator. You should possess extensive knowledge of contemporary art and have visions and ideas regarding how to reach our target groups with artistic content.

Here, you will be offered a varied role at an engaged workplace that is constantly developing. You will be part of a small creative team that supports one another in our daily work and works together to make graphic arts accessible to everyone, based on local, national and international perspectives.

Your work tasks will include:

Planning, carrying out and facilitating work with Grafikens Hus’s mobile art programmes and productions, as well as conversations, workshops, the Artist-in-Residence programme, art projects, pedagogical projects, and also working with the production of exhibits and similar.
Communication-based tasks, contact with established target audiences and external partners, as well as making contact with new ones.
Administering and running our fine art shop.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experiences:

Relevant training for the job of producer and/or practical experience of work as a producer within the field of arts and culture
The ability to both manage current collaborations and to find new ones
The drive and discipline to lead, coordinate and take ideas from development through to completion
Knowledge and/or experience of working based on norm-critical and intersectional theory and practice
Mastery of both oral and written Swedish and English
Experience working with communication, marketing and social media
An outward-looking perspective and significant interest in issues related to culture and society
Good computer skills and experience with the Office package

It is a benefit if you have:

A driver’s licence, as you will need to get to different places
Training and/or work experience within printmaking
Work experience selling art
Additional languages besides Swedish
Knowledge of Adobe Creative and other tools such as WordPress
Experience working in civil organisations in the world of culture
An abode in Södertälje

The job is based on Södertälje and can include some work in the evenings or on weekends, along with some work trips. We offer the opportunity to work partially remotely, and we also offer an additional healthcare allowance.
